Brief History

The store Marilyn's Flowers & Special Occasions opened in 1997 as Marilyn's Designs and creations. The name came from a Tole painting shop, which I operated out of my basement. As it began to grow, I began to expand into decorating and flower arranging. I moved from my basement to the Viking Mall located in St. Anthony, Newfoundland. I slowly expanded my business to mainly flower arranging, fresh cuts, artificial and silks, and also started to decorate for clubs, getting involved in decorating for social events, wedding coordinating, and decorating at special occasions.

The business was sold in the year 2000 because my husband was transfer to a new location for work. Now two years later I am back with a new store name, but still giving our customers the great service, which our customers deserve.
